This Saturday, Shadle Park Library presents a day for children’s book creators with the Lilac City Book Festival! Presented by Spokane Public Library, Wishing Tree Books, and SCBWI, the event offers a full day of workshops and discussions for children's book writers and illustrators.
Event highlights include expert-led sessions with local authors and illustrators; a diverse selection of workshops including novel editing, graphic novel creation, picture book writing and illustration, indie publishing, worldbuilding, nonfiction writing, and crafting spooky stories; skill development, networking opportunities, book sales, and such more! Sessions cover various aspects of children's literature, from editing novels to illustrating picture books. The event will conclude with a meet and greet featuring local authors and illustrators.
