Compassionate, experienced in-home care for the Inland Northwest
Twenty-four years of experience. This level of expertise means that Brandt and Melissa Weaver, owners of AAging Better In-Home Care, have witnessed firsthand most situations that can occur in a person’s life that would require them to seek in-home care services. “Hardly anyone is ever prepared for this situation, but every one of us will encounter it at some point in our lives,” Brandt reminds. “Whether it be for our loved ones, or for ourselves, we will need this service at some point in our life. Choosing the right agency is a hard thing to do.”
When it's time to decide on an agency, Brandt encourages asking questions. Are you looking for an agency that has paid 5-star reviews or spends the most on advertising? Do you choose the agency that has the highest rates? Do you go with a nationwide agency? Or do you go with an agency that has been local for 20-plus years, seen it all, and is still a leader in their industry despite the push from much larger agencies?
AAging Better has been servicing the Inland Northwest for 24 years, and they have seen it all: ID Medicaid budget cuts, the nationwide caregiver shortage, and the push of national agencies shutting down family-owned agencies. “We have seen it, and we have withstood it!” Brandt emphasizes. “Not only have we survived, but we became the area’s largest family-owned and operated in-home care agency throughout all of this. We became the largest by doing the right thing all the time — no matter the cost to us.”
AAging Better cares about their community, their clients, and their caregivers. The Weavers’ goal is to build relationships that will allow the aged community to stay at home, where they are comfortable, safe, and cared for. “The best outcome we can hope for is to give back to those who gave us a community in the first place,” Melissa explains.
For AAging Better, the intention is to help foster the best relationships possible — between those they serve and those who are passionate about caring for folks. “We strive to provide not just services but knowledge to our Veteran community and to empower them to count on the country they helped protect and serve; to have their back,” Brandt affirms. “Many of our Veterans do not know these services are available to them. We want to change that ... one caregiver at a time.”
AAging Better In-Home Care’s office staff is there to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Anytime you call, you will speak to them personally, not an answering service. As Melissa shares, “You were here for us; now let us be here for you.”
